A little more.

Some of you may already know me well, some of you may have only just read about me on the homepage and so I would like to dedicate my first blog entry to giving you more insights on myself and try to explain what I intend to discuss in this space.

The words of Nikola Tesla come to mind when I want to give a concise explanation of where I'm coming from.

He said, "If you wish to understand the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration."

As a part of my scientific work, I design and study materials that absorb light; or to put it scientifically, materials that harvest the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. This work involves an extensive study on how energy affects matter, the nuances of light-matter interactions and the multitude of ways in which we can tap into this tremendous source of energy.

I was so moved by the truly spectacular power of light and by extension the electromagnetic spectrum that I couldn't help but approach this subject from another perspective, a spiritual perspective. If this omnipresent energy has such a deep impact on materials, then it definitely affects us all, humans - our body and mind, in equal measure.

This is my quest now. To learn more about this ubiquitous and all encompassing energy and to learn to tap into it.

With that said, this blog is going to comprise a little of science, of nature, of philosophy and of the soul. I will try to provide references wherever possible and list resources that I find interesting and have guided me on this path so far in the resource section.
